My husband is at a job interview right now. It's for a facilities maintenance position for King County. I am praying he gets it. It would be a great job. Tues-Fri from 2pm-12am at $20+ an hour and full benefits. He'd have three days off to spend with us and we'd be able to do a real budget. Right now I have no idea how to do a budget because I don't know where our money is going to come from next, employment, unemployment, disability, selling stuff, etc. It's frustrating.
Our financial goal for 2012 is to be out of debt except for our house. I want to get all of our credit cards paid off, we have one left out of four. I want to get our one revolving credit line paid off and I want all my student loans paid off. I have $14,000+ in student loans and I'd like it to be paid off by 2013. I realize it's a lofty goal but I don't think it's unreachable. Especially if my husband gets a job ;)
The next time Financial Peace University is offered at our church I am signing us up again and going. We don't have to pay for it again because we already did. We already have all the materials, it's just a matter of sitting down with Adam and studying it and putting those ideas into practice.
Anyway, I have lots of laundry to do and put away so I better get it done! Plus I need to figure out what in the world I am going to make for dinner.
I have heard great things about Financial Peace University but have never attended a class. I did listen to Dave Ramsey a lot online. Good luck with getting out of debt.
ReplyDeleteAlso, sorry your husband didn't get the job. There will be something out there for him.
Nursing is a great profession. Another good luck wish. Hope you get in this time around but if you don't, reapply!
